Garbage Disposal

Sludge Disposal

Sludge is a semi-solid residue produced during the treatment of oily water in a ship's engine room. MARPOL Annex I sets guidelines for the proper separation, storage, and disposal of oily residues to prevent marine pollution. Ships employ specialized equipment to process and manage sludge before disposing of it at designated facilities in ports.
